LISTENING TO MICHAEL JACKSON

How do you write about someone that you really do not know? It may be difficult.
In thinking about Michael Jackson, his sudden death and most importantly now...
his three beautiful children he leaves behind...I came across a song he recorded, which I had never heard before.

The song is entitled "Childhood" and is from the movie FREE WILLY. Listening to the words, I was struck because...it really sounded like Michael Jackson trying to explain himself to us, what he is like and all about. The lyrics say, "Have you seen my childhood? Before you judge me, try to love me"...

As you read these words that I write, I have this beautiful song playing in the background.

This song sounds so sad...a boy, a man trying to capture their childhood...with such a sweet and innocent voice. Is this a real example of ART IMITATING LIFE? Perhaps the critics and some of us judged him incorrectly. Until we walk in one's shoes...it is hard to comprehend what is going on in one's own mind. We make judgments based on their actions...but what if their actions are just a circumstance of their growing up and environment?

I keep thinking how horrible it must have been to be accused of child molestation, if you were really innocent? If by your inappropriate actions, for example, hanging out with 12 or 13 year old boys...and them being "your" friend...was misconstrued...

Michael Jackson was a unique individual with superb and extraordinary talent...his demeanor was so soft spoken and in listening to interviews of him speak...the words "God Bless You", seem to ring out...

Perhaps we will never know all the details of his life...and that is fair. Although he is and was a public figure...each of us, should be entitled to some privacy. Just because we live a public life...should not mean, one does not have private moments...
which are entitled to remain private.

I always liked Michael Jackson and during his trial...I was not sure what to think, guilt or innocence. I think looking at his appearance, although unique and different...caused many of us to prejudge him. I believe overall he had a heart of gold and cared about people intensely... I pray and ask God now to take care of his three beautiful children here on earth. Comfort his family and friends...and may God give Michael Jackson...all he ever needed...in Heaven. May he never have to search for more...

Rest in peace... and then light up Heaven with your dancing and singing! In Heaven, you will be embraced, loved and not judged. Put on a few concerts up there, if you wish...but save one for me...if you don't mind, for when I arrive.

Love you...

I would like to say something.

Well after his death, Michael Jackson has become even more famous and, well, now almost everyone and anyone will hear him(his CDs are selling like hot cakes).

And also, I've heard there are several of his unreleased songs, and I just can't wait to get my hands on them.

Thank you 7th heaven for visiting and sharing your thoughts. I know, sometimes when one passes away...they are missed and thought of more, than when here on earth. The end of his life was very sad...I hope he finds happiness and peace with God.

Yes, what a great tribute- a tribute to a man who was judged by many. I liked MJ. He was a brilliant entertainer. Don't know where his spirit is, but thanks for the reminder to pray and intercede for his three precious children.

Blessings!

Hey K.F. You have it stated very well. We should never put ourselves in a position to judge anyone, especially when we don't have the firsthand knowledge of what happened.

I was actually looking to comment on the last paragraph. The day he passed over, I had an image of him moon walking in front of Jesus. I think we need to trust that he was innocent, as per a jury of his peers. More so, all souls are always open to reformation, so his visit with Jesus was one of the highest level of blessing we can be given. Keep up the beautiful work.

Great Michael Jackson post - and what a beautiful song!! We are all so nearsighted to life...so tunnel vision on what we see. We know 1 minute side of MJ so who are we to judge. Let's enjoy his gift as we enjoy the gifts of all people in our lives.

I ran across an interview Michael Jackson did with 60 minutes from 2007, in which, he explained his philosophy for loving the way he does. He said, "I will never stop helping and loving people, the way JESUS said to." He continued saying, "He said continue to love, always love, bring on the children, imitate the children, not childish, but child like."

It joyed my heart to hear him acknowledge Jesus as his example to LOVE!

God Bless you, and continue seek the LOVE of Christ!

To BreSheena,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and the excerpt from 60 Minutes where Michael spoke...
Michael's thoughts and heartfelt message is beautiful...
We as a society, often forget how to love...
Jesus' message is all about love...which we should try and remember each day.

I hope you share with us your thoughts and experiences again.
Sincerely

I love this website, its amazing
thank you thank you for posting this
i have always beleived that Mj knew jesus from the way he spoke of him in his interviews and i never believed the allegations, then again i am a die hard fan of his but as saddened as i was that he passed, i felt a strong sense of peace that only jesus could have given me, because Mj is in heaven with our lord

he often prayed and sang with Andrae and sandra crouch who worked with him on his HIStory and Dangerous album where he wrote Will you be there?

did you also know that the song "we are going ot see the king" which was played at MJ's memorial and sang by Mr crouch was Michaels favorite gospel song that he sang with the crouches just three weeks before he died
